Osprey Hiking Daypacks Editorial Review
The Osprey StraightJacket 8L Compression Sack has garnered largely positive feedback from customers who appreciate its effectiveness in compressing packed clothing and gear. Reviewers frequently mention how it significantly reduces the bulk of packed items, allowing for more organized and structured luggage. The compression system, which relies on straps rather than zippers, has received mixed reactions; while some users find it effective, others express concern about the potential for smaller items to escape. Customers are particularly pleased with the quality and lightweight design of the compression sack, noting that it excels in accommodating larger items, such as sleeping bags and jackets, without turning them into difficult-to-manage shapes. The unique form of the StraightJacket sacking process, comparing favorably to traditional round compression bags, has won over many avid travelers, who state they would be reluctant to travel without it in the future. However, there are some notable critiques. Some users feel that the overall compression capability does not meet their needs for certain larger items and would prefer additional straps for a more secure hold. The removal of the zipper from the latest model has also left some customers uncertain about its efficacy for smaller items. Overall, the Osprey StraightJacket 8L Compression Sack is recommended, particularly for those looking to maximize space when packing for trips. **
