Rothco Men's Modern
Rothco Men's Modern is a large parka with a windproof outer shell and a heavy metal zipper. It is a military jacket originally built for cold weather, which explains why it is built big. The jacket is oversized, so it is recommended to order a jacket about a size or even two sizes smaller than you normally wear. The jacket is warm without being heavyweight, and there is enough room for heavy sweater and snow bibs underneath. The handwarmer pockets are lined with a light flannel fabric and the north of arctic circle tested jacket, protected the buyer from -30 F temperatures without fail. The parka is good looking but formless and woefully inadequate in below freezing temperatures. The quality and Construction of the coat are poor: it looks like an N-3B but that is it, and the hood strap was sewn-on upside down, so it stuck-up like a Rooster's comb. Buyers are advised to check the sizing chart and order accordingly and the parka has scored good ratings on price, style and warmth. Overall, Rothco Men's Modern is a good winter parka but needs some QA attention, and the sizing seems to be inConsistent.
