The seventh and final book in the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, is widely regarded as the best book in the series. The story sees Harry, Ron, and Hermione leave school and head out on their own to find the remaining Horcruxes and avoid detection by Voldemort and his followers. J.K. Rowling takes full advantage of the multi-setting possibilities and introduces many new places while tying up loose ends and answering long-running plot points in an interesting and inventive fashion. The action never stops, and the book includes several large-scale magical fights. The character development continues to be wonderful, right up to the end, and we gain some more insight into important secondary characters such as Dumbledore and Snape. Some reviewers do find that characters don't get enough attention, and others would have liked to have seen a little more of what was going on in the wizarding world while Harry and his friends were on the run. The book ends with an epilogue that ties up loose ends but left some readers wanting more.
