The Casio MS-80B calculator is a good basic calculator with features beyond basic math operations. Its compact size is convenient for everyday use and it comes with a pamphlet that explains how to use the calculator. The BACKSPACE (ERROR CORRECTION) KEY function is easy to access with an Arrow key, which is useful when entering wrong digits. Multiplying by percentage is different from other calculators, as X x Y% +/- must be performed to get the correct total. The calculator has one tax rate for + and - tax calculations, so it cannot be different. The screen is 1/2" wide and 3/8" tall and has large, readable numbers. However, the device wobbles and does not lay flat on a surface, producing an annoying clicking sound each time a button is pressed. If the device is idle for eight minutes, it automatically shuts off.
