Does this work only on things that are white, or does it make any color UV reactive?
répondre: It seems to make whatever color surface react to a black light, not just white surfaces. It dries more or less transparent on the surface you paint it on, so the surface retains its original color. The color glow that you get under a black light is similar to that of white printer paper or white cotton fabric. -

How much do you add to paint, so it glows with a black light? There is no mixing instructions on the bottle.
répondre: I suggest experimenting using a blacklight. It looks slightly blue. If you don't mix thoroughly you can see stripes and swirls in the paint. if you did say half this medium and half regular acrylic and mix thoroughly it will not show up in blacklight. Also the color you choose will not be the color of the black light reaction. You need more of the medium than the paint for it to show up. The more medium to paint ratio the brighter it will be. -

répondre: I would test it on a piece of carpet or the material that's on your floor, first. -

répondre: I don't know, since you add it to other paint, I think it would depend on if the paint you add out to leaves brush marks. -

répondre: It does glow white but this product is really designed to be mixed in with other paint. -

Can these paints be used on fabrics? Could painted fabrics be washed? Can these be used in paint sprayers?
répondre: This is a standard acrylic medium. If used on fabrics it would make the cloth extremely stiff and more than likely crack. Also, the UV response is not all that great. I found mixing ratios were such that if enough pigment is used to be of high saturation the response will be muted. Transparent to semi-transparent glazes work best. This technique would not be recommended for fabrics. Hope this helps. -

If I paint this on a black canvas would it still show up under black light?
répondre: Yes, it will actually show up better on black canvas but you don't use this product on its own, you mix it in with other paint.
