    répondre: For rafting, it depends on how tall you are, how high you're seated on the raft and partly on how long or short your arms are. If you're high in the bow, you should choose the longest shaft you can handle quickly. From the sides, you don't want to have to lean overboard to dip the blade. It also makes a difference whether paddling is the only propulsion or that's done by an oarsman and you're paddling only over rapids. In the latter case, the shorter shaft is better because you don't have to lift so high between strokes and you're less likely to hit bottom with the blade. Someone else may have other ideas, but personally I've found a short-shafted paddle much more efficient to use than a long one. If you can't get a 51-incher and don't have the opportunity to sample both of the others in real life, I advise choosing the 48, because the 54 might be uncomfortably long and it's easier to adjust downways.

    répondre: I doubt it could be used for official dragon boating racing as there is an excepted paddle design for that (PS202 pattern blade.) For casual non-official dragon boating im sure it would work just fine but if you actually want to do dragon boating i suggest get the proper paddle to start with.
